A document showing an official legal name change, such as a court order for name change, a marriage certificate showing the name before and after, a divorce decree reflecting the name change, a naturalization document showing the current legal name, or any government-issued record that clearly lists both the previous name and the new name. Academic transcripts and certificates for all degrees, including associate, bachelor’s, master’s, PhD, and any other academic credential. Documents and notices you received from U.S. immigration authorities during entry or immigration proceedings, whether issued at the border by Customs and Border Protection, later by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or by the immigration court system under the Department of Justice.
